The Royal Shave at Elite Barbers NYC is a straight razor shave with hot lather and a hot towel. It's $45 and takes about 30 minutes, at our barber shop on the Upper East Side. With a haircut, it starts at $80.
The shave
What is a hot towel shave?
A hot towel shave is the traditional barber shave: a hot towel to soften the beard, hot lather, and a straight razor. Here it's called the Royal Shave. It's $45 and takes about 30 minutes.
It's slower than shaving at home, and that's the point. Sit back, let the towel do its work, and let your barber handle the blade.
You can book the Royal Shave on its own, or add it to a haircut. And every haircut here already finishes with a hot lather neck shave and a hot towel, so you get a taste of it either way.
Keeping the beard? Then you want a beard trim instead: faded and lined with a razor, finished with a hot towel, $30.

Do I need an appointment for a shave?
No. Walk-ins are welcome six days a week. If you'd rather not wait, book a barber and a time online. We're closed on Saturdays.
