Who we are
Elite Barbers NYC is a family-owned and operated barber shop at 782 Lexington Avenue on Manhattan's Upper East Side. We've been cutting hair in New York since 1991, and Slava Ovaidov runs the shop.
We're a barbershop, not a salon with a barber pole out front. That means clippers and scissors, straight razors, hot lather and hot towels, and beards shaped with a blade. Every haircut comes with a wash, a hot lather neck shave and a hot towel. Included. And you can walk in without an appointment.
Meet the barbers
Five barbers work the chairs six days a week: Avi, Alex, Rima, Dimitry and Slava. Ask for any of them by name when you book online or at the desk.
What we do
Fades are a big part of it. The fade comes up in 98 of our Google reviews, and 22 mention the skin fade by name. Beyond that, it's regular and senior cuts, crew cuts, kids' cuts, beard trims, facials and the Royal Shave, a straight razor shave with hot lather and a hot towel. The house signature is the Signature Elite Cut: a haircut, skin fade and straight razor beard trim in one appointment.

One shop, one address

Your first visit
Come in whenever we're open. We're closed on Saturdays. If you'd rather not wait, book a barber and a time online. Bring a photo if you've got one in mind. If you haven't, tell your barber how you style your hair in the morning and they'll work back from that.
We're at 782 Lexington Avenue, between 60th and 61st. The 4, 5, 6, N, R and W stop at 59th Street, and the F and Q at 63rd.
